"Near The End of Another Great Season"

The end of another season is almost upon us, and the last few weeks have seen the fruits of a season’s hard work.

Various festivals, a successful Mini and Junior tour, and a final Colt’s match against Bancroftians (lost by the narrowest of margins but with the winning points being scored by a Vees player - guess that’s some sort of moral victory!) brings the season to a close.

On the 8th May, we created Club history as the Warriors played the Club’s first Women’s game against Stockwood Park. After a nervy start, the Warrior’s defence kicked in and we only lost to a narrow scoreline. A great occasion, which was celebrated by a strong support from the rest of the club, and hopefully the first of more to come.

Looking at the week ahead:

- Friday 17th:

Coaches Celebration and presentation evening

-Saturday 18th :

1st XV are in the Herts Plate final against Royston. KO 12.30

PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT THE TEAM

-Sunday 19th :

Mini and Junior Presentation Day.

First presentation is at 10am.

There will be stalls and games to raise funds for the club so please come armed with plenty of coins.

After a long season, you would be forgiven for thinking that the summer will be restful, but there is always work on going at the club!

Firstly, there is extensive work reseeding, weed killing and fertilising going on 2 of our pitches. Pitch 2 (top left) is not been done, and will be available for light activity.

Our social spaces will also be having a face lift to make them more family friendly, starting on Monday. This should not cause too much disruption to activities and hires but will not be finished before August.

Thanks to all who have participated in the running of the club at all levels this year. Your input has been greatly appreciated.
